20.04.2011 SA calls for national protocols for displaced persons

Minister for Disability, Jennifer Rankine was today successful in gaining agreement on the development of a set of joint protocols to respond to large numbers of displaced persons who move into other jurisdictions and require emergency assistance.

Anglicare SA welcomes any move by state and federal governments to develop protocols for assisting large numbers of displaced people who require emergency assistance. We trust that any such protocols will be sensitive to the cultures, needs and wishes of the people involved.
