Kids' Club at the Annexe
There is a Breakfast Club for children of Davoren Park Primary on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The After School Kids Club runs Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. It's about fun, but it's about life skills, too, like preparing and cooking of a light meal. Parents are encouraged to take part in the After School Kids Club.
The Holiday Program provides activities every day throughout the term breaks. They are family days and children must be accompanied by a parent or carer over the age of 18. Staff plan interesting, relevant and exciting activities for children to take part in. These include picnics in the local park, gardening days and trips to the movies.
The Annexe
The Annexe is a great meeting place for local groups and organisations — as well as providing space for community development activities. It has strong links with other services in Adelaide’s northern suburbs.
The Annexe offers an adults only group for things like budget cooking and crafts. A community health program meets at the Annexe once a week for workshops on a range of issues including parenting and depression.
Mum of two children Nicole says the Annexe is a “place for us to go and meet other people. I can find out what’s happening around where I live. I’m really good at working out our family budget now and I know my kids are learning good things for their future.”
Anyone is welcome at the Annexe, which is at the shopping centre in Davoren Park, on the corner of Peachey and Whitington Roads. For more information call 08 8254 1937.
